Welcome to the Leaning Cedar Tree Cabin!

Are you looking for that remote, rustic cabin bordering the BWCA in Ely, Minnesota?
The Leaning Cedar Tree Cabin is the perfect adventure getaway for you.

Our remote log cabin is bordered by the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness on one side,
and surrounded by Boreal forest and the gently flowing North Kawishiwi River.

Our cabin is accessible only by water across Farm Lake at entry point 31 in the BWCA.
Its zen-like simplicity will captivate your soul, and welcome you with warmth and serenity.

The cabin is kept cozy by the wood burning stove, modern gas range, propane fridge and lights, but is still comfortably rustic without electricity or modern plumbing.

The kitchen is fully equipped, including a cork screw to open that wonderful bottle of wine. Clean drinking water is provided. Our rustic cabin comes furnished with down bedding and soft organic cotton sheets and towels. Use the wood fired sauna to cleanse body and spirit. Fall asleep to the sounds of Loons in the summer and the crackling fire in winter. Relax on the deck overlooking the BWCA or in your own private forest.

Our remote cabin comes with Kevlar canoes and 2 kayaks. A 16’ Lund fishing boat with 25 hp motor is also available for rent to use in the chain of lakes adjoining the cabin.
In the winter you’ll have access to cross country skiing and dog sledding adventures or just relax by the outdoor fire pit.

Paddle the BWCA or motor in the nearby chain of lakes, and come back to rejuvenate in our remote, rustic Leaning Cedar Tree Cabin. We can help you plan your outdoor activities, year round.
